FIRE VR Virtualized Fire Extinguishers,
designed, developed and produced in France
The FIRE VR fire simulator had been around for almost two years, and our customers had been asking us to add fire extinguishers to it, when we came up with a technical trick to make it work with our META QUEST wireless VR headsets.
Visit Virtualized® Fire Extinguishers would see the light of day.
In a few words, here's how we went from a need, a vision, to the creation of objects that link the user's hand and his learning in virtual reality.
Adrien Perrugault, our creative director, took charge of functional and object design, co-innovating with the user experience (UX) and real-time 3D application development teams.
Agile development enabled the team to find solutions that met a very demanding set of specifications: to create an innovative product while combining high aesthetic standards, ergonomics, a break with market standards, perfectly realistic use, anti-fragility and environmental frugality.
The birth of Virtualized Fire Extinguishers®.
It was only after 5 months, several major evolutions and numerous iterations that the Virtualized® CO2 and water spray extinguishers were finally able to help trainers and trainees make the right decisions under realistic fire conditions.
Fully designed, developed and produced à Guyancourt (78), the Virtualized® Fire Extinguishers IRWINO are pure products Made In France.
For this project, we were able to count on the support of the Group's teams. GENARISACTRIS and AXTRID who gave us their great skills and help.
They put their FABLAB and their 3D printer farm at our disposal, which enabled us to launch R&D and manufacturing very quickly in very comfortable conditions.
Yahelour MAKER, manufactures the virtualization parts (which enable interaction between the real and the virtual) and integrates them into recycled fire extinguishers, which is an opportunity for us to participate in the necessary efforts to develop the circular economy.
